Wildcat Run Golf & Country Club is a true hidden gem. The community includes 450 homes on 584 acres about two miles east of I-75. Wildcat Run Golf & Country Club is excited to announce the completion of a $8M golf course renovation project. Summer of 2022 the club created a new short game practice facility and redesigned the range. The project was overseen by North Carolina based Golf Architect, Kris Spence, who specializes in sensitive renovation and restoration projects. The plan didn't seek to redesign the course, instead, it sought to preserve and enhance the original design while implementing critical infrastructure needs and foundational improvements. The project greatly improved infrastructure, playability, and ongoing maintenance. The emphasis of the renovation was to correct long term drainage issues along with infrastructure items such as cart path replacement, tee expansion, extensive fairway drainage, greens reconstruction, practice facility upgrades and updated grass varieties throughout the course.
